What is the Emoji Selector app?
Emoji Selector is a lightweight, fully browser-based emoji picker that lets you find, preview, and copy any emoji to your clipboard in a single click. There is nothing to install and no account to create — open the page and start browsing. The picker is organised into the standard emoji categories (Smileys & People, Animals & Nature, Food & Drink, Activities, Travel & Places, Objects, Symbols, and Flags), and a built-in search lets you jump straight to the emoji you need by keyword. It also remembers the emojis you use most often, so your go-to reactions are always one click away. The whole experience is keyboard-accessible, works offline once loaded, and respects your operating system's colour scheme — or you can toggle between light and dark mode manually. Emoji Selector is powered by Frimousse, an open-source, unstyled, and composable emoji picker library for React.
How to use Emoji Selector
Emoji Selector is designed to be frictionless. Here's how to go from opening the page to a copied emoji in a few seconds.

Open the Emoji Selector page
Launch the app in any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, or Brave). No download, extension, or account is required.

Search or browse for an emoji
Type a keyword like "rocket", "smile", or "fire" into the search bar to filter instantly. Prefer to browse? Scroll the grid and jump between categories using the sticky section headers.

Click an emoji to copy it
A single click (or pressing Enter on a focused emoji) copies the emoji glyph straight to your clipboard. A small confirmation appears below the picker showing exactly what was copied.

Paste it anywhere
Paste (Ctrl/Cmd+V on desktop, or long-press → Paste on mobile) into any app that supports emoji — chats, social posts, emails, documents, or code.

Re-use your favourites faster
Every emoji you copy is added to your Recently Used bar at the top of the picker, so your most-used emojis stay one click away. Use the Clear button to reset that history whenever you like.

Switch between dark and light mode
Use the sun/moon button in the top-right corner to switch themes. Emoji Selector remembers your choice on this device for next time.

Navigate by keyboard (optional)
Focus the picker and use the arrow keys to move between emojis, Enter to copy, and type to search. Everything is keyboard and screen-reader accessible.
