1. Absolute Privacy Commitment
SidebarX is built from the ground up to be a privacy-first tool. It operates exclusively as a local browser utility. We do not collect, monitor, log, scrape, or transmit any browsing history, bookmark data, network traffic, or personally identifiable information.
2. Local Storage & Bookmark Access
SidebarX reads your bookmark tree using the browser's native bookmarks API solely to display it in the sidebar panel. This data is read directly from your browser at the moment it's needed and is never copied, indexed, or persisted outside of it.
Any configuration SidebarX creates—including sidebar open/closed state and panel width—is saved strictly on your local machine using the browser's native sandboxed storage API. Favicon icons shown next to bookmarks are requested directly from your browser's own favicon cache, not from any third-party image service.
Opening a bookmark simply navigates your current or a new browser tab to that page, using the browser's native tabs API. No record of which bookmarks you open, when, or how often is ever kept, transmitted, or made available to us.
3. Third-Party Data Transference
Because SidebarX does not collect or transmit your personal data, no information is ever captured, processed, sold, commercialized, or transferred to third-party entities, advertisement networks, or data brokers.
